The last couple of weeks have proven at least one thing to me: without a goal there is no motivation for activity.
Not having a race on the imminent horizon, I’ve been taking a lot of time off from running. And on days when I really, really felt like running, it’s been much easier to allow distractions to prevent action.
The moral? When you start feeling like I’ve been feeling this weekend, go get yourself a goal to pursue. Then find a plan to get there. And get back on the road to attainment! Right away.
So tomorrow I’m starting a new, longer training plan with the goal of setting a PR in the Flying Pirate Half Marathon. And along the way I’m revamping my approach to our other businesses, with a stronger focus on expanding our empact footprint.
Resetting goals, creating new action plans, and looking forward to helping others achieve their goals are all means anyone can use to get themselves out of their doldrums.
I invite you to come along on this journey, doing the same for yourself! Leave me a comment below and let me know what you’re up to…
